Nathan Mayfield/JazzMen

Born and raised in Milwaukee Wi, Nathan Mayfield developed an exceptional ear for music in middle school where he was chosen by the trumpet. He honed in on his skills while attending music arts schools for middle and high school including Milwaukee high school of the Arts while also mastering his ear for music by transcribing by ear songs of contemporary jazz artist of his early era. By graduation he  Fostered a true love in jazz

In 2019  Nathan decided to dedicate himself and launched his music career in the form of branding himself JazzMen, which represent his self as an artist, his collection of releases and his stage performances with supporting band. In 2024 he released “Love Birds” where he made his debut on the Billboard Charts and peaked at #16. Since then he has made appearances at highly acclaimed jazz festivals including Fresh Coast Jazz Festival and headlining at Summerfest. He also made a TV appearance in 2025 on the channel 12 news  for his accomplishments where he did an interview and a performance. 

Jazzmen is now celebrated for his unique smooth playing and high energy performances. He is on a mission to become one of the most notorious trumpet players smooth jazz has to offer and is on the verge on success. Stay tuned!
